Legal notice
Legal Notifications
The information, services, and programs offered through SOFSRI are intended to support relationship growth, education, coaching, and, where specifically stated, licensed counseling services.
Because SOFSRI offers both non-clinical relationship coaching and licensed mental health counseling, different legal notices apply depending on the service selected.

Married Couples Coaching and Relationship Education
SOFSRI’s married couples coaching, marriage education, and relationship support services are non-clinical services designed to help couples improve communication, strengthen connection, clarify goals, and develop healthier relationship patterns. These services are educational and coaching-based in nature and are not psychotherapy, marriage therapy, mental health treatment, medical care, or legal, financial, or other professional advice. Participation in coaching or marriage education does not create a therapist-client, counselor-client, or other clinical treatment relationship. Coaching is not a substitute for diagnosis, crisis intervention, or treatment by a licensed psychologist, counselor, physician, or other qualified professional. If a participant’s needs appear to require psychotherapy, psychiatric care, emergency services, or another licensed service, a referral to an appropriate provider may be recommended. Although privacy is respected, information may be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to respond to a serious threat to the safety of any person. By using SOFSRI’s coaching or marriage education services, you acknowledge that no specific outcome is promised or guaranteed and that you remain responsible for your own choices, actions, and decisions. -
Licensed Counseling Services by LaShun Franklin Only
Licensed counseling or therapy services referenced through SOFSRI are provided solely by LaShun Franklin, who is publicly listed as a Michigan Limited Licensed Psychologist, MA, LLP. Any counseling, psychotherapy, or mental health treatment relationship begins only after appropriate intake, informed consent, and formal acceptance for services. Information shared on this website, through contact forms, by email, through social media, or in general communications is for informational purposes only and does not by itself establish a therapist-patient relationship. Therapy and counseling services are distinct from coaching and are governed by professional, ethical, and legal standards applicable to licensed mental health care. Counseling communications and records are generally confidential, but confidentiality may be limited or broken where disclosure is permitted or required by law, including situations involving risk of harm, suspected abuse or neglect, or compliance with a court order, subpoena, or other legal process. Licensed counseling services are not provided through standard website browsing, blog content, or general online communications alone. -
Crisis and Emergency Notice
SOFSRI’s website, contact forms, email, and voicemail are not intended for emergency communications or urgent mental health needs. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, having thoughts of suicide, or believe you may be in danger or may harm someone else, call 911, call or text 988, or go to the nearest emergency room immediately. Do not wait for a response from the website, email, or a contact form in an emergency situation. -
Website Information and No Guarantee
All content on this website is provided for general informational, educational, and ministry-related purposes only. Website content is not a substitute for individualized mental health treatment, legal advice, medical advice, or other professional services. While SOFSRI seeks to provide thoughtful and helpful information, no representation or warranty is made that website content will be complete, current, or applicable to every individual or relationship situation. Michigan Licensing Notice
Where counseling services are offered by LaShun Franklin, those services are subject to applicable Michigan licensing requirements. Because LaShun Franklin is listed publicly as a Limited Licensed Psychologist, counseling intake and consent materials should also include any supervision disclosure required for that license status. That supervision disclosure is typically handled in clinical intake paperwork rather than in general website notices, but the website may state that licensed services are provided in accordance with Michigan law and professional standards.
